Divide and Conquer

The more we promote cultural individualism the less political power The People will have. We are being divided into smaller and smaller groups through identity politics... with narrower and narrower interests, with less and less common ground. If you want to destroy democracy, you need only split the electorate into small interests groups set against one another, each making its decisions on the basis of a single overarching issue specific to their individual interest. This ensures that the otherwise overwhelming potential power of The People is so diluted and dispersed that only the money is left as an effective power bloc.
